Yesterday our CEO, Mimmis Cleeren, had the pleasure of attending a breakfast event with the Power Women in Tech network at Nordnet in Stockholm.

This was an inspiring morning discussing topics such as:

  • How to build a company culture that leads the way in times of constant change

  • How to work with human values in a tech world

  • How to lead teams, stay productive and check on staff wellbeing in the hybrid workplace

  • Breaking the glass ceiling - the challenges and opportunities of female leaders in a male-dominated tech world and how to navigate a Board room

  • How female and male leadership styles have changed over the last 10-20 years

  • How to balance work and life

And lastly, some career advice for (younger) women in tech:

"Drive your own development by continuously exploring the unknown. Reflect over what you want to achieve in the next six months. With whom do you need to build relations? What trends do you need to understand better? What do you need to learn? Also make a plan for how you make space to take care of both your mental and physical health."  Siri Wikander, People Growth Advisor på Beyond Talking

"You maximize your development and performance in environments where you can be yourself, feel safe and have a leader who invests in your success." Lisa Skinner Källström, Chief HR Officer at Teamtailor

"Be curious, and show your willingness to learn new things. Practise communication - to be able to communicate and inspire people at all levels is a key skill. Become good at something you like, leveraging your personal abilities as a starting point." Katarina Werner, Global Head of Sales and Partnerships at Nextory

"One of the most important choices you can make in your career is not necessarily what you work with - but who you work for. A manager that believes in you, challenges you, and shares your values can elevate your entire journey. And don't forget to listen inwards. When you find both what you're good at and love doing - that's when you find your superpower. That's where you will grow, shine and really enjoy yourself." Gabrielle Hagman, Country Manager at Nordnet Sweden
